The Newcastle University is awarding Vice-Chancellor’s Global Scholarships starting from September 2019 for the full duration of the degree programme. Applicants of all nationalities (assessed as international for fee purposes) are eligible to apply for the VCGS awards


Newcastle University (officially, the University of Newcastle upon Tyne) is a public research university in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North-East of England.

Students need a good level of English language to study at Newcastle University. English will be the main language you use socially and for study. If English is not their first language they will need to provide a recognised English language test or qualification.

Scholarship Description

Scholarship Applications Deadline/Closing:  April 30, 2019 and June 28, 2019

Scholarship Values: The value of the scholarships will be £4,000 and will be credited to the student’s tuition fee account to reduce the overall cost of tuition fees.
Location: Scholarships are available to study at Newcastle University
Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue undergraduate degree programme.
Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities (assessed as international for fee purposes) are eligible to apply for the VCGS awards.
Field of Study: Scholarships are awarded to study any of the subjects chosen by the student.


Eligibility for the Scholarship

Eligible Countries: Applicants of all nationalities (assessed as international for fee purposes) are eligible to apply for the VCGS awards, except for those listed below.

Applicants from the following countries are not eligible to apply for VCGS awards as the University offers specific schemes for these countries: Algeria, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mauritius, Morocco, Thailand, Turkey, the USA and Vietnam.

Entrance Requirements: To be considered for Vice-Chancellor’s Global Scholarships applicants must:

Be assessed as international for fee purposes
Hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2019/20 academic year

Already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent
Applicants of all nationalities (assessed as international for fee purposes) are eligible to apply for the VCGS awards, except for those listed below.

Applicants from the following countries are not eligible to apply for VCGS awards as the University offers specific schemes for these countries: Algeria, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mauritius, Morocco, Thailand, Turkey, the USA and Vietnam.

Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.
